What should you look for when comparing prepaid funeral plans in Australia?
Compare exactly what the plan includes and excludes, whether the price is guaranteed, and the rules for cancellation, transfer or moving interstate. Check independent reviews and, importantly, how the prepaid money is held. Funds should be protected in an appropriate independently managed funeral fund so they remain available if the original funeral provider later closes.

I would say mostly look for reviews on that particular company. It just gives you a really brief or actually sometimes more in-depth look at that company and how they operate. You'll be able to tell straight away the type of business that they are. Obviously steer clear of anything that has a lower rating or has dissatisfied customers. Also look at where your money is being invested. So it's really important that your money is kept secure in a prepaid fund by a friendly society to ensure that if something happens to that funeral director or funeral home that your money is safe and protected for when the time comes. Here at Willed Funerals, our money is invested in a friendly society for you. So it is completely secure and independent of us. We carry out the cremation at the time of your passing. But until such time that money is safely invested in a friendly society on your behalf to ensure that those funds are safe.
