Do I Need to Use a Traditional Funeral Home to Arrange a Funeral in Australia?
No, and in this video James explains the distinction: you do need a funeral director or funeral company to arrange a cremation or burial, but it does not have to be a traditional bricks-and-mortar funeral home. James covers how Willed Funerals arranges everything by phone and email, from prepaid cremations and at-need cremations to full service funerals with celebrants, flowers, coffins, and refreshments. Watch the video above to see what the modern alternative looks like.

Yeah, absolutely. I mean, you still need to go through a funeral director or a funeral company to arrange a cremation. That being said, you don’t have to go through a traditional funeral home to do so. At Willed Funerals, for instance, we can arrange everything via phone and email for either a prepaid cremation and at need, meaning at the time cremation, or a full service funeral as well. So we can do that via phone and email, or you can come into our office and we can walk you through the paperwork, next steps. We can put you in touch with a celebrant. We can organise flowers, coffins, refreshments, all of those sort of things that you would normally do at a traditional funeral home. So you definitely don’t need to go down the traditional route of going to a funeral home and sitting down with an arranger and doing all that. You can easily do it with us online.
