What is a wake in Australia, and how do you organise one?

So a wake is generally something that follows a funeral service, a formal funeral service. There's usually catering and perhaps beverages served there, alcoholic, non-alcoholic, it's up to the individual. And that's an opportunity for everyone that's attended the service to, just gather around, continue telling the stories of their loved one in a more social setting. They are usually organised through your funeral director, usually at any of the council memorial parks. We can organise those refreshments for you or wakes for you. Some families like to do this themselves, at a local pub or cafe or private venue. And some families also like to have them back at their house or a different venue.
