Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA) is Australia’s peak coastal water safety, drowning prevention, and rescue authority. ⁠Currently, there are over 44,272 volunteer surf lifesavers involved in the Surf Life Saving movement, with 315 Surf Life Saving Clubs spread across our 59,000kms of coastlines. These dedicated volunteers are committed to promoting water safety and keeping our coastal communities safe.

Each year, they rescue more than 10,000 people from the water. Over the years, this has added up to almost 700,000 people who have been returned home safely to their families, thanks to these outstanding volunteer surf life savers. This is why the Surf Life Saving Foundation exists - to support SLSA with critical fundraising activities that help keep volunteer surf lifesavers on our beaches.
