Today, that number is around 1 in 700 children, an incredible drop of 40%. Thanks to research, the severity of cerebral palsy in Australian children has also dropped. Now 2 out of 3 children living with cerebral palsy can walk without assistive equipment and more than half do not have an intellectual disability.
